Labour Day Weekend & Autumn Updates

Greetings everyone,

Hope this finds you well and everyone has been having a great summer. It’s hard to believe but another summer is starting to wrap up here at the lake so we wanted to provide you with a few updates for summer’s end/fall’s arrival.

The Burn Ins live in concert at Koocanusa CampsiteFirstly, be sure to mark your calendars for our Season’s End Parking Lot Dance on Sunday, September 4th at 7:30pm. We’re pleased to announce that this year’s entertainment will be Elkford’s own “The Burn Ins.” This outdoor concert is free of charge and fun for the whole family!

The Burn Ins are an award winning, female fronted, blues rock, power trio from Elkford. They were regional champions in CBC Radio’s 2015 Searchlight contest and also won “Best New Artist” for the 2015 Kootenay Music Awards. They recently (July 2016) won What’s On Magazine’s “Artist of the Year” award at the Fraser Valley Music Awards.

Also, on the Labour Day long weekend, we’ll be having our annual cooking contest. This year we want you to bring us your best Pie! Campers please bring your pies down to the store for judging on Sunday, Sept. 4th at 7pm. Thank you and we look forward to your entries.

Other Koocanusa Campsite News for our Campers & Patrons:

  • Storage Bills are ready for pick-up at the store. Payment by cash or cheque only.
  • Small, controlled campfires are okay but you must have a Spark Screen over your fire pit (these are available at the store.) Thanks for your understanding.
  • The Store is open 9am – 9pm daily until Sunday, Sept. 4th.

Koocanusa Campsite Beach at SunsetFall Store Hours are:
Mon. – Thursday & Sunday: 10am – 7pm
Saturday & Sunday: 10am – 8pm
Kitchen is open daily until 7pm… come get your All Day Breakfast Sandwiches, Loaded Burgers & Veggie Burgers, Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and Daily Specials.
The last day the store is open for the season is Sunday, Sept. 18th.
Last Day for Garbage Pick-up is Mon. Sept. 19th.
